It was her. The daemon had followed them outside and was glaring at them like a predator circling its prey. It smirked hellishly, bearing a set of jagged edged triangular shaped teeth. Its hair was a deep blood red that hung just above the shoulders, its skin was translucent and grey to the point where you could see every blue vein in her arms, neck and face. Those eyes that appeared so cloudy at first glance were now solid blocks of sulphur yellow and orange flex, it was inhumanly beautiful. “Belladona Arachne,” It hissed in a voice so proud and so well spoken it felt like knives in her ear drums. “We have been looking for you.” “Who are you?” Bella roared aggressively edging ever closer to the security of Leon’s steel like frame. “What do you want with me?” “Nothing,” It snarled. “Not yet anyway.” Leon stepped forward with a smirk just as crawl as the daemons itself and with every step he moved forward it took one step back. “I suggest,” Leon began he’s voice so calm, so intoxicatingly confident. “You turn around and crawl back into the worm hole you came from.” The daemon laughed shaking the ground as it did, birds flew from their nests and thunder boomed in the skies overhead. “You child actually think you can stop me? If I wanted her dead she would be laying in her own blood by now.”

About the Book

About the Author
I was born in Purfleet, Essex, where I lived alongside a huge family of my mom, stepdad, three sisters, one brother, five nieces, and two nephews. I also had a pet cat for sixteen years; she was my best friend even though she always had to sit on my paper when I was writing. When we had to have her put to sleep due to liver cancer, I was devastated. But by chance a few months later, I found a stray kitten at my workplace whom I brought home and fed, and now she lives with me in Southend-on-Sea. I went to Aveley Secondary School from 2002–2007. I have been writing since I could first hold a pen, and my mother said I’ve been wanting to publish a book my entire life except for the time I wanted to be a vet, but when I saw an operation on the television, it put me off for life. I am a huge gaming fanatic and always have been since the Sega Mega Drive and the Super Nintendo, and although it drove my parents round the bend, I knew that when they watched me play, they were impressed. I love reading and watching supernatural horror and sci-fi, my favorites being Doctor Who, True blood, and Vampire Diaries. I’m getting married to my fiancée next year, who is a biker, a trainee chef, and fascinated by scaly animals.
