About the Book
This is a story about a little girl with a big will. A determined, strong willed child, who believed she could, and would accomplish what she set out to do. The belief that any dream is possible and the importance of having encouraging and positive “Can Do” people around you.
When reading this book to your child, ask them to find the “star” on every page.
About the Author
About the Author: Maria is a first time author but has always shared a love of children and the books we read to them. Maria is a parent of two grown children of her own, a son and a daughter to whom she remembers always making reading an adventure. She believes in allowing expression and imagination in all children’s books. Maria has been a registered nurse for thirty years and shares a home with her husband of that many years in Maryland.
Rita Hall is a self-taught artist who has done crafts of every sort throughout her life. The illustrations in this book are a deviation from her normal style which is very detailed and realistic. Autumn trees, historic homes, and wildlife are often subjects of her work. Rita did not begin to exhibit her work until after retirement. The first two juried art shows she entered earned her honorable mention ribbons. Her work can be seen in her home and in many private collections. She is a past member of the Charles County Arts Alliance and the Mattawoman Creek Arts Center. Rita is also a current member of the Southern Maryland Art League.
