About the Author

Frances Gilbert writes to be read aloud. She writes for three to ten year olds and is a firm believer in the strong bond between the reading experience and the development of critical language and social skills. Her books have a recognizable voice and rhythm and always contain a message. Today The Teacher Changed Our Seats is Gilbert's eighth book. Frances Gilbert was born and educated in the UK. In the US she worked for many years as a special educator with a strong interest in language and reading.her favorite past time is reading and playing word games with her six grandhildren and her ambition is to own a sheep farm.
