About the Author

Helen Preston was born in Boonville, Missouri. For twenty years, she lived on the island of Okinawa where she began her career of government service. She retired in 1988 and lives in the northern Virginia suburbs of Washington, D.C. and in St. Augustine, FL. In retirement, she has continued a life long hobby of creative writing. These stories were written for her grandchildren.
