About the Author

Jeanelle Carson has been living in the Pacific North West most of her life and has been doing basketry for over 20 years. Jeanelle's baskets are a "one of a kind" creation. Her technique has been perfected by trial and error to insure the ability of her work to stand up to everyday use. Many of Jeanelle's baskets have been displayed around the world as beautiful decorative pieces, however; her baskets have been used for other things as well, such as utility baskets for carrying tools or groceries. Jeanelle’s spends much of her time talking about her craft and teaching as many people who want to learn. The first step in basket making is finding your material. Jeanelle is approached often about this subject. She wrote this book as a “how to guide” to help with this task. Jeanelle believes in living as “green” as one can. She strives to makes a contribution toward a “greener planet” with her basketry skills.
