Annie goes to the library, checks out a book and something magical happens. The book was written by Grace Vaughan when she was 8 years old and it has a simple but clever outcome. A very kind artist in New York City, Robert Kobayashi, sent her six watercolor illustrations for her book--they form the basis for the images throughout the book.

About the Author Grace was born in August 2002. Her name is Grace Judith Vaughan. She wants to be an author and illustrator when she grows up. About the Illustrator Robert Kobayashi is an artist in New York City. He was born in Honolulu, Hawaii in 1925. His gallery, Moe's Meat Market is located at 237 Elizabeth Street, NY, NY. He liked Grace's story and sent her the illustrations.
