About the Author

Hello, my name is Kasey. I live in North Carolina with my fiancé Eladio and our 3 year old daughter, Ayana. Writing has been a passion of mine for over 10 years now. My daughter and my 2 year old niece Ariazza, have inspired me in the most beautiful way; and my dynamic "little/big" sister, Peian, has been there with me every step of the way. Because of such influences and the mass support of my amazing family, I recently began writing children's stories. My daughter is the most precious gift god has given to me. She keeps me on my toes and has such an interesting personality. I wrote Henry the Hippo to read to her before bedtime because even though we already have that mother/daughter bond, I wanted us to share a personal connection that we can both relate to and also share with others. In addition, Henry the Hippo was also written to teach her about manners, friendship, and trust. I hope you all enjoy it as much as we do. Kasey W. D.
