INSIGNIFICIENT Me! Because of a family health disorder, I find it easier to articulate my thoughts on paper by writing them down. Well, it is the year and the time I dread the most. It is the Presidential election year, where we elect or appoint a President for the next four years. It is a time we are forced to endure as we listen to all the lies, promises, innuendo, etc. Why can't the politicians we have campaigning for office simply tell us what their plans are for making our lives easier? I'll tell you why, because they simply don't have a plan. Don't waste my time telling me what Joe Blow has not done for me. Simply state your plans if you have any, allow me to make the decision of who I think will do the best job for the country or who is the lesser of two evils. As a cousin of mine used to say often times "playing upon my little intelligence." I liked the fact that all the Republican debates were not on every network. Don't automatically assume everyone wants to hear all this rhetoric on every network. Each network should take turns donating time to the candidates and debates? In this way those who are interested can tune in and those not interested can do something else. One of my pet peeves concerns the amount of money spent to make the public believe all the lies, promises, innuendo and rhetoric told to us. What is even more disturbing is how gullible some of us are. Why isn't that money spent to pay down the deficit? If the politicians are truly concerned about the deficit, isn't this a viable start on reducing the deficit? It was alleged Meg Whitman spent over $141.5 million dollars of her own money in a losing campaign for Governor of California. Think of all the good she could have done with all that money if she had donated it to some school district or some other entity in the State experiencing financial problems. She would have gotten more votes this way, than the other. She would have gotten my vote, because I would have said to myself "she really does care and will help the State." Rarely do I vote Republican; I will if they have the right message. Instead, she may as well have wiped her ass with $141.5 million dollars and flushed it down the toilet for the good it did. What is it going to take for us to get serious and do something about our deficit? My mama always said "charity begins at home, and then spreads abroad." When other nations request our assistance, why can't we just say no, I don't understand. We are not in a position to help ourselves, how can we help anybody else? Our own people are in dire straits. Allow us time to step back, regroup and get ourselves together; then we may be able to help others. It would be foolish of me to loan you money to pay your bills and I don't have enough money to pay my own bills.

The writer of this book does not consider herself an author. She simply describes her feelings and views on a number of subjects. She wants everyone to know what it feels like to be one of the 99% middle class. She uses the term "middle class" rather loosely. She considers herself to be one of the 99% average Americans. She writes a heartfelt description of what she feels political life consist of for herself. She expresses the disillusionment and a lot of disappointment she feels with the political process. She exercises her rights in expressing her unique opinions on several subjects. She not only provides you with her views on a number of subjects but she also does it with a lot of mother wit (common sense), wit and humor. If you are one of the 99%, you will feel an immediate connection with her as she leads us on this roller coaster ride to the November 2012 election. She is uncannily and brutally honest in her assessment as she sees it, as she discusses a number of topics.
