God Loves a Lullaby

Too often I think just how amazing it is how we view God, in light of telling him all of our problems and struggles. Some see him as someone we bring our concerns to, and then hope for the best. Some bring their problems to him and really don’t believe that anything will happen, that is, in their favor. Some talk to God and think that if they have not committed any “really large” sin lately that God will find more favor in answering their prayer because of that. Some talk to God truly believing that whatever he allows to transpire, that his perfect will manifested through this accomplishment will be achieved. And then, some believe that God does not want to hear our problems, and that he grows tired of our crying and aching hearts. No matter what your view is of how God views our cries to him, the Bible is very clear on this point: Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. (Matthew 11:28, NKJV) I will give you rest. Christ simply wants us to come to him, to talk to him, and then lay all of our burdens down at his feet. He wants our cries, our anguish, our pain, our hurt, our disappointment, our anger, our wrath…our everything. He wants it, simply because he desires to have a relationship with us. It does not matter how often you cry out to him…He never grows tired of hearing you. It does not matter how often you get angry…He is there to accept your anger. It does not matter how often you doubt him…He desires to hear it so that he may convince you…of his unconditional and undying grace, mercy, and love. It does not matter how often you give him your discouragement and hurt…He is there to calm the stirring seas inside your heart. In search of truth, in search of true healing, in search of a perfect peace that calms the angry and raging heart, in search of a pathway for the disillusioned, in search of strength for the weary, if I can stress but just one thing you can do to bring a peace that passes all understanding, it is this…Just Cry Out. That is what he wants. That is all he wants. Cry out to Jesus. In your darkest of hours, In your blackest of nights, When hell’s mouth has opened wide… Pour out to me your misery, Sing to me your melody, Allow my grace to come inside… There is nothing you cannot give to me, There is no load I cannot bear, For all hell still bends to My will… Lay it all down at my feet, Let my blood that flowed cover you, Your empty cup of brokenness I will fill.
