About the Author

Laura grew up in Reno Nevada. She is the youngest of eight children. Laura got the idea for the story while she was fly-fishing on one of the many western rivers. Besides her love of nature, Laura has always loved to write and draw. Her other love is animals. Laura lives with her small dogs and a red footed tortoise. Laura has two grown children, a son and a daughter.
