About the Book

In a series of letters written to those who influenced his life and who have since long passed, a man pays tribute to those he loved. Moments in time, some tender, some troubling and sad, reveal the character of family, friends, teachers and acquaintances. Intertwined in these events of the past are snippets of the present which sometimes contrast sharply with the economic, political and societal changing mores of Americans. This snapshot of the past opens to view what was, what could have been and what might be for the reader. Some letters will make the reader cry, others will bring a smile to your face and even make you laugh. But, like the writer, you will remember Letters Late...

About the Author

Dr. Allen R. Remaley is the proud father of two children both of whom have given him the magic of becoming a grandparent. Letters late…is his seventh book and might very well be his last. After thirty-seven years as a teacher of French at the secondary and university levels of education, Dr. Remaley focuses his time on his hobbies: writing, perfecting his imperfect playing of the banjo, and wielding a pickle ball paddle on courts filled with other enthusiasts of the sport. He holds a master’s degree in French from Penn State University and a doctorate in French and in the Teaching of Foreign Languages from the State University of New York in Stony Brook. He lives with his wife, Marilyn, in Saratoga Springs, NY and in Scottsdale, AZ.
