About the Book

Targeted to an audience of 4-7 year olds, this book is about early experiences with clumsiness and family support. Have you ever been clumsy before and needed someone to tell you that everything is going to be ok? In this story Eddie is a young boy who learns that being clumsy is not so bad; it happens to all of us. While Eddie is helping his mom and sister make dessert, watch what happens.

About the Author

Since I can remember, I have always made notations and jotted down ideas, but I started writing in a journal around the fourth grade. Of course, I never thought that I was or would ever become a writer. Thus, “That’s The Second Time This Has Happened To Me, But it Was Only 57¢” is my first published book. In 1985, after a few consecutive clumsy moments in my kitchen while preparing desserts, the idea came to me to write about them. Inspired to share a simple truth about being clumsy... that it happens to everyone, I drafted this story. Writing to an audience of four to seven year old children, I attempted to emphasize how we all have our clumsy moments, but we can manager to pull it together, as Eddie did, with loving support.

Currently, I reside in Chesapeake, Virginia. I am married and mother of one highly intelligent daughter who gave us three bright and beautiful grandchildren.
