About the Book

The story takes place in spring of 1705 in a seaside village in Puerto Plata. A young boy's life will suddenly be change when his village is raided by pirates. Trills and adventures will conscript Esteban into a life he never could have imagined. He will struggle to reconcile the life that he is experiencing, versus the life he planned. Through Esteban and the other cast of characters we learn about the consequences of our actions, even if they happened long ago. The most important lesson, there is always opportunity for redemption.
