My Secret Place There is a place I often go When things around me moves real slow When trouble seems to drift my way My world collides right before my face My secret place is where I hide No one can enter, no one can spy I go to this place with some believeth Things will get better, just wait and see It’s a mystery, I can’t explain My secret place eases all of my pain Even if it’s only for a little while I can express myself like an innocent child The love that I seek it’s all in there The promises of peace My brokenness is repaired My secret place holds the very essence of my soul People try to imagine but my story is untold

About the Author
I was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland and graduated from Northwestern High School, class of 86, Go Wildcats!!! I am a divorced mom with three beautiful children, I am a survivor of domestic abuse, to God be the Glory, Yes, I survived!!! I have always loved writing poems, stories, whatever. I always found it easier for me to express myself thru writing, it is my way of expressing how I feel and a way that I escape when things seem to be going crazy around me, which is often. Sometimes I can get my point across better when I write instead of talking. Don’t get me wrong I can talk too, but writing has always been my way of just going deeper into what I wanted to say. I believe it is never too late to follow your dreams and that no matter what... never give up, keep smiling, keep pushing and always trust God. I believe that God wakes us up each and every day for a reason; it is up to you to find out what your purpose is and the only way you can do so….is by asking the One who created you!!!
