About the Book

I have not always been a writer, but was inspired by a college professor who required a writing assignment of some sort. I chose to write a poem to which I procrastinated until the day it was due. When I finally sat down the morning of to write my poem, the words came to me immediately, and I have been writing poetry ever since. The last poem, The Peaceful Pond, was my first poem inspired by my literacy Professor, Dr. Linda Lord.

Author Hello. My name is Michelle Peterson and this is my first published poetry book. I have not always been a writer, but was inspired by a college professor who required a writing assignment of some sort. I chose to write a poem to which I procrastinated until the day it was due. When I finally sat down the morning of to write my poem, the words came to me immediately, and I have been writing poetry ever since. The last poem, The Peaceful Pond, was my first poem inspired by my literacy Professor, Dr. Linda Lord. I am a mother of three children with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s Degree in Literacy. I work for numerous school districts and write on the side. I love to read, work outdoors, and spend time with my family. I hope you enjoy our poetry book on the seasons and look for more to come! Happy Reading! Illustrator Hello. My name is Daniel Worden. I'm excited to be a part of this book, as this is the first time my artwork has been published. Ever since I was a small boy, I've had an interest in art I remember my parents painting my bedroom completely white, letting me draw whatever I wanted all over my walls! During high school I was a part of numerous art contests where I didn't always place first but had fun either way. I have other artistic aspirations that I enjoy, photography being one of many I'm glad that I had the opportunity to work on this book and with a great friend as well. I'm looking forward to our next one! I hope you enjoy our book!
