The title, “Irresistible Divine Intervention” says it all relative to this true story.
IRRESISTIBLE means overpowering; not able to be successfully opposed.
DIVINE relates to God; to predict something by supernatural means.
INTERVENTION is an action undertaken in order to change what is happening or might happen in another’s life, especially in order to prevent something undesirable.
This is a true story of my son Jon’s life-long battle with an incurable disease called Pancreatic Cystic Fibrosis—C/F. It is a story of hope, faith, prayer, promise, patience, witness and ecstatic joy! A journey orchestrated by God alone, every step and stop along the way to successful double-lung transplantation. This is what I meant in the title of this writing. Nothing could suppress Jon’s miracle transplant from eventually taking place, God would see to that.
It is inspirational and encouraging to everyone afflicted with a medically terminal condition and to the families. In addition, the content draws all of us into a closer intimate relationship with God.
Come along and see, that there is no need that prayer cannot meet and no problem that unceasing effectual fervent prayers of God’s righteous people cannot solve and bring to fruition, even if it takes forty-three years, as in Jon’s case. AMEN.

About the Book
This is a true story of one young man's faith journey to successful double-lung transplant and beyond. He celebrated, with flying colors, his second anniversary from transplant on April 11, 2012!
As with all success stories, there is so much more than what meets the eye. The sole and soul intent of this book is to convey and instill in the reader a spirit of optimism, encouragement and an inner peace of heart and mind. These and so much more are readily available to one and all via the God of Peace. Therein, lies the cliché', "More than meets the eye."
Wholehearted trust in God and in those He has gifted in the medical profession, together with all others behind the scenes, the family, friends and donor family is integral to the success of transplants of every kind, as well as with every other malady. Yes, it is truly a team effort as co-workers together with God. The young man in the story would be the first one to attest to that fact. His level of faith through it all has been tenacious, and through it all, he, family and countless others has learned to trust completely in the "Great Physician", without wavering or reserve.
God's will is always going to be done in all our lives.
Jon, the recipient of the donor lungs in this story, inspires all of us to stay focused upon the Author and finisher of our faith life, and the Giver of every generous act and perfect gift (James 1:17).
Be blessed as you read his story and know, the best is always yet to come to those who truly know, love, trust and obey God.
About the Author
Pat is the father and has been the primary caregiver in his son's journey to pre and post double-lung transplant surgery. His vast array of professional life experiences over three quarters of a century, aptly qualify him to write this true story. Pat's life has been primarily devoted to family. Everything else, secondary.
As an author this is his fifth inspirational book in publication. While Pat has many accomplishments and various interests, his principal focus is to bring practical spiritual enlightenment to one and all, young and old alike, as we joyfully align ourselves to our Savior and His life and inerrant Word.
