About the Book

South American Rainforest Animals is aimed at young children. The brightly coloured pictures of the endangered animals from the tropical rainforest are designed to develop language and promote understanding of how important it is to keep the rainforests and reduce our impact on the environment. The book brings readers up close with rainforest animals and plants that are in danger of extinction because of the loss of habitat that occurs when their forest homes are cleared. Young children will enjoy exploring every page of this book.

About the Author

I was born in Brazil and I come from an Italian background . I grew up in the countryside in a city called Olimpia around 467 KM from Sao Paulo the capital. There I went to primary school and Secondary. When I was 22 I started University in Sao Jose Do Rio Preto, in 1988. There I graduated with a degree in History in 1992. I started in May 1992 as a History teacher in a small village with a poor community ,which myself and five collegues we built a stable friendship with the community which made a huge impact in the local school for three years , which became the best school in village. This gave me an opportunity and opened the door to work in a variety of positions within the education sector . I was a Pedagogic-Coordinator from 1996 to 1998 and Deputy manager in2004 and manager in 2008. I worked very close with children and parents. I worked with children with special needs and learning difficulties. In December 1999 I moved to England , where I graduated in Early Years Education and Master Diploma in Education in Kigston University 2008.The children at a very young age always fascinated me how they learn. They are like a sponge absorbing anything around them. It inspired me to become a writer . I got from my son the inspiration that goes beyond my throught. We make up a story and he loves to listen and never gets tired and asks for another. I would like to pass my knowledge and enthusiasm to others, especially children.
