With Christmas approaching and Santa being so busy, he sent two of his elves, Shannon and Clyde to get the Christmas tree he had selected. Unknown to the elves a small family of squirrels, Momma, Emma,Tyler and baby Ava were fast asleep deep inside the big pine tree. Emma suddenly wakes up and discovers they are now in Santas house at the north pole and he has a big hairy watch dog guarding the place. After meeting Bud, Santa's dog, Emma and Tyler explain to him what has happened and they want to go back home to the meadow by the big blue lake. Bud then went to talk to Santa, but Santa not understanding dog talk, places a magic Christmas spell on him, enabling him to talk in human voice. Now Santa, with Bud's help, will need to find a way to get Emma, her family and the big pine tree back to the beautiful meadow by the big blue lake, it might take a Christmas miracle.

About the Author

Rod Hoffer was raised in rural South Dakota. He has been an over the road truck driver for over 35 years, he hauls refrigerated products across the USA. Thirty-seven years ago he married Judy, his high school sweetheart. They were blessed with two beautiful daughters who on turn blessed them with five beautiful grandchildren Tyler, Shaylin, Pryce, Emma and Ava. Having a great imagination and the love of a good book he decided to write his own stories involving his own grandchildren there by giving them something to remember him by. It was very rewarding and also a lot of fun. Rod's family loved "The Strange Christmas Dream" so much they encouraged him to have it published so everyone would have a chance to enjoy it. Rod, Judy and two very spoiled dogs, Bella and Shorty Mae now call Rapid City, South Dakota their home.
