Somedays (and nights) life is hard. Life in the desert as a young gerbil fetching water is hot, hard work and can get you into trouble with the thirsty tarantula gang. Read to see if gerbil Jamal gets the water for his family or the tarantula gang gets Jamal and the water.

About the Author

Arnetta Conrad, mother of Cody Conrad and wife of Bob Conrad, graduated in Medical Technology from West Virginia University. Cody wrote this story for a school assign about the Sahara Desert. He had trouble starting a project but it usually turned out pretty good. I thought it would make a cute children's book. Cody had Cystic Fibrosis and we spent alot of time together. He past away December 2009 at the age of 19 and is now breathing easy with the Lord. I wanted to share the story in memory of Cody. Bob (Cody's Dad) and Arnetta live in West Virginia with plenty of rain, no where near the Sahara Desert.
