Those Darn Cats, Patchie and Teddy is written for children, it is primarily designed to show children how to make friends. Using animal characters is a way to get the child’s attention. The story is fun to read, and the pictures are fun to look at as well.

About the Author

As a young boy, I was a quiet soul. My friends always wanted me to join them in mischievous acts . Sometimes I went along and other times I did not, mainly because I knew better. So I wrote this book based on my experiences in knowing when to do something good and when not to do something bad. I thought that would prove to be a plus in the kind of book I wanted children to read, a book about how to choose a real friend. I used animals to make it easy for children to relate to, mainly because animals are like children themselves. They are trusting, they give their love freely, and their devotion is without bounds. These two cats, Patchie and Teddy (who is actually called Rosie), are real. They live with my mother and me here in King City, California. The moral to my story is this: think before you choose!
