A family is a really strong thing. It doesn’t break or even crack when something really, really bad happens. That makes me feel really safe. My family will love me forever, no matter what. We can’t wait for Daddy to come back home. But we’ll all be OK till then. Daddy will be OK too.

About the Author

Barbara Swaby has been a professor of children’s literacy in Colorado for over thirty-four years. She also heads the LOGO Project which provides books for high-risk children in Colorado. She enjoys writing children’s books, scrapbooking, music and photography. She is married and has three children and six grandchildren.
