My name is Beaner and I’m here to say, why my backyard is the best place to play! In my backyard, I can be me. Nobody tells me to come down from my tree.

About the Author

Growing up on West Hill in Ithaca, NY, Brandon’s playmates were quick to pick up on his love of baked beans and began calling him ‘Beaner’ a nickname that sticks with him to this day. Beaner has been a part of the Centers’ family since September of 2004. His sense of humor is infectious and his funny stories and cartoon drawings are always a delight. At 39 years old, in August of 2009, Beaner was diagnosed with a brain tumor which added a renewed sense of urgency to his dream of publishing “my little circle book, for my little kids at Racker”.
