I am Peragon, the keeper of great stories and last of my kind. Through out my life I have flown across continents assembling the greatest stories on earth. And as generations were swept by the winds of time, I have always remained the same forever young dragon. That’s how I was created and that’s how I have been for 200 years. Then, a time came in the brink of modernization when wars were fading, warriors dying and cultures changing, that I came across the greatest story earth has ever known, the story of the Last Hero of Foreverland. I tied it to my chain to keep it safe for future generations. The story’s trueness made me younger with each sunrise, until my chain broke and the last great story fell from the sky. I was too high to know where it fell, and I grew weaker, but before my death, I Peragon proclaim to anyone who finds the story to pass it on to the world. Reading it will be like seeing it happen, because you will be there to witness a hero’s rise in your time. I tell this story not as I heard, but as I read and saw. Many heroes have passed, some fought with swords, and others with words. And as generations unfolded I came across a story of the hero who fought with the mind, the hero who crossed the bridge to the new world with his wit. I Zuzu Juanabelle, the last gold puppy of my kind, give you the story of the last hero of Foreverland, just as Peragon, the dragon and guardian of the story did to many until I found it. As the bright light departed from the sky, the closing bell of the school, from the great St. John’s church rang. Rolland stayed to have his own private studies, while all the students sprang out of their classes like freed lambs to their homes. From the great St. John’s church of Foreverland, people watched and waived happily at DDH. “Hip! Hip! Hurray! Hip! Hip! Hurray!”. Shouted the crowd as they carried Rolland shoulder high through the streets of Foreverland. They were moved to the core of their hearts as they celebrated the last hero of their land before development. “I guess my head is not useless after all, Ha!” he thought. Just then, Rolland jumped off the shoulders of his carriers when he saw his Dad in the crowd. He hugged his Dad who had finally come home. DDH crying after his Dad carried him on his shoulders, lifting his hands high in the air screamed “NOW FOREVER HAS HAPPENED IN FOREVERLAND!” pg47-48: Every living creature could hear the hailing of the last hero, and that victorious day was declared a holiday in Foreverland. Long live foreverland!!!!!

About the Book
Born in December in a small cottage of Foreverland in Sydney the story of Rolland, nicknamed “DDH” who rose above odds and bullies to clinch a name in world history as “The Last Hero of Foreverland” ends up in the books of Peragon, the guardian of all great stories. To Peragon, the great dragon, the noble story of Rolland brought him strength. To Zuzu, the story made him a part of history, but for Rolland Forever has happened in Foreverland. The book is narrated by Zuzu Juanabelle, the gold puppy after Peragon’s death.
About the Author
Benjamin Lartey was the co-founder of the first African club on his college campus and served as a teaching assistant in Spanish and Accounting for one year. In High School, Ben was elected Vice- President of student government and served as an executive member of Students Representative Council for three years. Ben became his school's first history and current Affairs club President in 2006 and was appointed president of a campus Church in 2007. In September of 2008, Ben was awarded a scholarship to study in Cuba. Ben was born in the western part of Africa. His memory of his first and only birthday celebration was at the age of three, with his great grand mother. In middle school, Ben was given many names because he was skinny. Ben had to adjust switching schools because his parents could not take care of him and his brothers, and amidst this torture, he had to fight his way through bullies at school trying to take his lunch money or food. Experiencing a broken family at a very early age, Ben did not have much parental affection for a long time, and ended up been raised often by his great grand mother who passed away during his graduation week in high school. Now, a multilingual, fluent in nine languages, including Spanish, Ben works as a volunteer in the Mexican Consulate of Philadelphia, PA as an assistant to the Executive Director of the Mexican Cultural Center. Ben is also the author of several books including "The Inspirational Book of Hope" Ben now lives in Elkins Park Pennsylvania, and as a victim to bully, this is Ben's first children's book to the children of the world.
