This book is inspired by a story someone I met at the bus stop told me. A tale of sexual abuse by her step father and neglect from her mom. It shows how the way we are raised affect us but it also goes beyond that to say that at the end of the day personal choices can correct all ills or mare us for good. Compare Isabel and her best friend and roommate Carissa for instance, both had many similarities in their experiences growing up, but then while Isabel was completely deprived of a structure up bringing ,Carissa had good guidance in her grand mother and Aunt Monica. Some family to look up to thus the need to model her life along her roots. Is this the reason Carissa thrived where Isabel failed. This is a subject for debate. I personally have my opinion on why my heroine failed, but I'll leave it to the readers to judge things for themselves.
My suggestion, raise your child the right way so that when she comes of age she will have a guiding light. To everyone, there is a point you get in life and most decide how you proceed by yourself, with or without parental guidance. Have it in mind that every individual carries his own cross. That's the way it is and there is nothing none of us can do about this. If you belong to the lucky whose bed are already made by inheritance, thank your star, but is not a guarantee that your life is secured. The way Prince William runs the Palace will decide the future of the throne. The choices we make and how we implement goes a long way in settling the ultimate, long life, piece of mind, happiness and secured economic means.
Issues raised here are those nagging problems most girls encounter and in this book is a wealth of knowledge for any one who wants to succeed. I particularly prescribe this as a most read for every girl or even boy, every woman. or even man Know what your kids needs and how to help them reach their goals.

An inspirational book for everyone Another kind of Diamond discuses a girl who had to go through the horrible ordeal of abuse and neglect in the hands of her parents. However, as we read we discover that even though her up-bringing was nothing to write home about yet she had ample opportunities to make all wrongs right. For instance she is gifted in physical and intellectual abilities. Granted the chance for a fresh start, a good husband, even loyal friends at some other points and wealth too, but she stuck to self destructive ways and ended her life in ruin.
About the Author
Gloria Obizu former Gloria Ndiokwere is the daughter of a popular educationist and High School Principal in the Eastern part of Nigeria. Gloria holds a Bachelor Degree in Education, majoring in English. A masters degree in international relations with Political Science bias. She was the Principal of St. John’s primary school, Ikorodu Road, Lagos for a short period. Worked with Lagos State Teaching Service Commission teaching English language and literature in various high schools for many years. She is the proprietress of a number of business ventures such as Audio Visual Secretarial school and La-Bella Fashion Boutique in Allen Avenue Lagos. Her first book titled ‘Our Contemporary Time’ is highly critical of the Nigerian Political Institution and thus not welcomed by those who want the status que persist. The concealed persecution that followed compelled her to relocate to the United States in 2005 and has been living in Los Angeles since then. As a fresh start on a new ground , she went into Nursing from a humble beginning. She took a very short course in Certified Nursing Assistance, worked as a CNA for a while before she went to college to get a Licence in Vocational Nursing. Currently, she is employed by one of the best Nursing Agencies in Los Angeles. She has travelled a lot , interacted with people from almost all corners of the globe and well experienced.
