About the Author

Wanda F. Jackson grew up in rural Mississippi during the mid 1950’s. She received her college education at Missisiippi Valley State University where she earned a degree in English. She taught English/Language Arts, Journalism, and Creative Writing for over thirty years. She has written volumes of poetry, and most recently, her memoir Memories of Mississippi in 2010. Writing children’s books has been something that the author has always wanted to do since she has spent most of her adult life educating and interacting with them. Louvenia’s Quest has given her the opportunity to see through the inquisitive minds of our youth and to experience their thirst for knowledge and self awareness. Mrs. Jackson continues to enjoy traveling and writing, now that she is retired.
