Bernie was a little bumblebee. He was not big and strong like all of the other bumblebees. Still, when he grew up he wanted to work for the Queen Bee just like his dad. Bernie's mother made sure he ate all of his honey so he would grow up big and strong. She always told Bernie that size didn't matter. It was doing your very best that counted. And Bernie was always trying to be the best little bumblebee he knew how to be.

In this adventure, Bernie is a little bee that loves spring and exploring. He goes outside of his hive to fly around a flower garden and sees many pretty things along the way. In his travels through the garden, he meets up with old friends and new friends. He finds a great big world of beauty and friendship.
About the Author
Sally Pratt enjoys drawing and painting. She has illustrated several children's muriels for local businesses. She has spent time RVing between Virginia and Florida. Currently she resides in Yorktown, Virginia. Wendy Wright enjoys writing poetry and has published with local papers. Her love of nature led to a collaboration on a children's book with her mother. Currently she resides in Hampton, Virginia.
