About the Book
Whether subtle as a gesture or startling as a snare drum, Christos Mendrakos’s writing rings full and true, reflecting both the unevenness of the human mind and the endurance of the human spirit, along with the consistency of the human soul. This unique blend of free verse and new and old formalism cuts through literary conventions like a Cretan dagger, all the while preserving the cultural momentum made possible by honored traditions.
“[His] grasp of the truth and his ability to combine wit with wisdom is what makes this a stirring read. It’s contemporary, fresh, applicable to subjects ranging from politics, to sports, to current & cultural events. Any one of any age can enjoy!” ---Susan Jane Goldner, poet.
