About the Book
A young buck is growing faster than his other deer friends and feels shy and embarrassed by the attention it brings him. He doesn’t play with the other deer and he can't understand why they don't play with him. One day he accidentally saves his deer friends from a dangerous creature. His friends thank him for saving them and with their help he learns to understand both himself and his friends.
About the Author
Mary Marchi has been involved in the field of education for forty-three years. She has been a teacher and administrator in both public and private schools. She taught reading to young people for many years. She not only taught her students to enjoy reading, she also taught them to enjoy story writing. Mary is now retired and lives in Carmel Valley, California with her husband, Jack. She has two daughters.
