Ms. Joie finally agreed to buy a cat for Kaitlyn, so Kaitlyn and Ms. Joie went to the animal shelter looking for a kitten to adopt. They looked at every kitten and cat in the store, but Kaitlyn did not like any of them. They were about to leave the store when Kaitlyn saw Pinky sitting in a cage alone in the corner. Kaitlyn begged her mother to let her go back into the store. As they went back into the store, Kaitlyn ran over to the cage. She leaned over and saw his name on his collar. She softly called his name and when she did, he looked up at her. Kaitlyn begged her mother to buy Pinky for her. She said, “Mommy I really want this cat. I know that he is pink, but that is what makes him special. No one wants him because he is pink and he has no family. Can we please adopt him and make him part of our family?”

About the Book
Dia’s Imagination was imagined and written by Pediaiah Pierce. Pediaiah had a hard time sitting still to get her hair combed in the morning for school so her mother, Decembre Pierce, started asking Pediaiah to create a story that teaches children life lessons while she combed her hair. By the time Pediaiah finished her story, her hair was done. Her mother, Ms. Pierce, would then write all Pediaiah’s stories in a notebook for later use. Pediaiah wanted to share her stories with other children and asked her big brother PJ, whom she loves dearly, to draw pictures for her book. This book is the first of many more to come from Pediaiah Pierce. We hope you will enjoy Dia’s Imagination as much as we have enjoyed sharing it wih you!
About the Author
Pediaiah Pierce is the 8 year old youngest daughter of Author, Decembre Pierce. She currently resides in North Carolina with her mother, brother, and two older sisters. Pediaiah is not only smart and funny, but she also has a broad imagination that is often morally based.
