About the Book
Christopher Boomer just turned 19. He works for the local mechanic Jim Myers along the side of Jenny, Jim's daughter. Jim asked Chris to help him build a derby car, but he wanted Chris to drive it. Chris was not for it at all, for 10 years earlier his own father had died while running in demolition derby. And as he takes on Rob Smith Jr. and his derby crew amidst the back drop of a small town, he finds himself caught up in the middle of a drama between two rival ladies, and with the help of his friends, he soon discovers that he is more like his dad than he realized, coming to terms with the ghost of his past as he learns the ropes of demolition derbies and fully embraces his father’s legacy in this adventure of twisted metal, roaring engines, and high impact hitting! About the Author
Jeff Carnahan spent much of his life in Crawford County Illinois. He is an experienced driver both of demolition derbies and racing circuits. He is also a recent Crawford County Champion of 2008 demolition derby. In 2011, he placed 9th over all in dirt track racing points. He is an avid outdoorsman and hunter. He has a wonderful wife, and two children that loves and supports all his endeavors. He currently works for Quail Creek Country Club in Robinson, Illinois. He writes in his spare time, and hopes to write more in the future. He would like to take a moment to thank all his friends for supporting his efforts, Also for being there when he needed them.
