Cataclysm

Some religions tell us that it all began with Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, 6,000 years ago. Th e scientists tell us that it began with a big bang, several million years ago. Th e historians are reluctant to take sides, since few written records exist at this time. And so the unanswerable questions have been passed down to us through the generations; the who, what, where, when and how of our planet Earth. Why is the Earth tilted on its axis? Why is the western hemisphere drifting west towards Asia? Who built the pyramids? Some of the questions seem trivial. Who cares who Cain and Abel mated with? But it is a legitimate and important question. Important, because it reveals and establishes a basic fact that can no longer be overlooked or ignored. Th e question is answered a few chapters later, in Genesis. No one has ever put the two relevant chapters together, in just this way before, because one vital bit of information was unavailable until recently. Th ese questions and others are listed below and are referred to as dots. An attempt is made to connect all the dots to form a new picture of a very important time in the life of our planet. We have only to accept an obvious premise and all the dots fall into place, creating a scenario. It is not the only scenario for these events but it is the only one that links all the questions together. Some of the dots have been overlooked; others are separated by time and some seem to have no relevance to any of the others. Time is an elusive and fl exible factor. We cannot measure the age of the pyramids by carbon-dating its boulders. Th e boulders existed in the side of a mountain, long before they were used to build the pyramids. If we accept one simple premise many of the dots fall into place, giving us a better understanding of our planet Earth, and the cataclysmic events that destroyed one planet and almost destroyed Earth.
