About the Book

Sophia is a pilot whale who’s death can only be prevented by her new friend, Jack, who is a bottle-nosed dolphin. The book is about the dangers of plastic bags in our oceans and the importance of recycling.

About the Author

I grew up in the Pacific North West in the state of Washington, I moved to Oklahoma where I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Arts and Accounting. I received my Certified Public Accountant status in 1981. Because of my infatuation with our amazing planet and its fragile position in our solar system and in our universe, I went back to school and completed a Master of Arts degree in Earth Literacy/Global Sustainability. During this educational process, I realized the importance of recycling and the importance of educating our younger generation. I presently live in Boquete, Panama where I am subjected to the rain forest and all of the life in a tropical ecosystem.
