A little girl named Ruby is doing what she loves most—reading and taking a trip to her favorite place, the library! The hot summer day is a perfect day for Ruby to sit under her reading tree with a stack of books. Ruby picks up the top book and begins reading a new story. About the Author

Renee Lanier raised four children and home schooled each of them. She understood the importance for her children to learn to read and read well to gain a good education. She knew that reading could provide them great joy, pleasure, and knowledge. Lanier has been passionate about reading and books her entire life. It is always a pleasure for her to sit down with a new book, turn to the first page, and begin reading a story. Lanier lives in southwest Louisiana and often can be found in the nearest book store browsing the new titles.
