God never runs out of love for you. His love for you is always running over abundantly and eternally for you. You can always, always, always count on Him to love you. He "chose us in Him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in His sight. In love He predestined us to be adopted as His sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with His pleasure and His will" (NIV Ephesians 1.4-5). He loves to love you. Loving you is His utmost joy. This is why when you consider how much your mother, your grandmother, your companion, or your spouse loves you --as much as they love you --their love for you nowhere nears God's unconditional love for you. He loved you before you ever breathed your first breath. He loved you before your mother was born to think about having children and to think about changing your diapers. Not even she has the capacity to love you as He does. So, when you look up at the stars, no matter their number, God loves you. All the countless stars in the nighttime sky are signs of His immeasurable love for you. He displayed a rainbow to Noah as a promise that He would never destroy the world with a flood again. When He displays those bright stars --when astronomers look in their telescopes and cannot see the end to all those bright stars and endless more galaxies of trillions more stars --that is His sign to you, to me, and to everyone alive that there is no end to His love. He will always love you. This is why His love is the most excellent way. Do you realize that when God blessed Isaac He told him to look at the stars? God told him, "I will make your descendents as numerous as the stars in the sky and I will give them all these lands, and through your offspring all nations on earth" (NIV Genesis 26.4). Thus, they are His commitment to loving and blessing you. His love and the blessings that He has for you are as infinite in number as the stars. This is why loving people, as God loves them, is the most excellent way for you and me to live. This is why we are to "Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave Himself up for us a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God" (NIV Ephesians 5.1-2). Therefore you and I are to "shine like stars in the universe as you hold out the word of life" (NIV Philippians 2.15). The word of life is His love for all. When you shine like a star in the universe you show that you are committed to love people as He loves them. Love is never a place you arrive at. You never arrive. You keep on growing in God's love. You are to always study love because you His student, a student of Christ, and a student of His Holy Spirit.

Jesus explains in His parable of the talents that your Heavenly Father God has endowed you with at least one special gift. Often He has blessed you with many more. His gift of love to you, however, is the most precious of them all. If godly love is your one talent, it is yours to continually refine throughout your life. In order to continually grow in godly love, God's Word must be your road map. God Loves You: Notes of His Love unearths truths about your Heavenly Father's love from Paul's description of godly love in his first letter to the Corinthians. In his letter he reveals its seven qualities. You will find in God Loves You: Notes of His Love that each chapter is dedicated to studying a quality of love. As you study each chapter you become a student of God's love. You investigate for yourself how to live an entire life of continual growth in ever-abounding love for your Heavenly Father God, your dear ones, and all humanity. After you devote your entire life to successfully studying and living godly love, you will appear before your Heavenly Father God. When He sees your soul beaming the seven qualities of godly love, He will tell you "Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your Master's happiness!"
About the Author
Thomas lives in San Antonio, Texas and is studying accounting at the University of Texas at San Antonio. He will graduate with a BBA in Accounting in August 2012. Upon graduating, he will continue his education to complete a Master of Accountancy. Above all, he looks forward to many more years of serving his Heavenly Father God.
