About the Author
About The Author Margaret has been involved with children all her life, having raised four children, working as a teacher aide and school secretary in the New Rochelle, New York school district for 30 years, and teaching nature to children through a non-profit organization, Sheldrake Environmental Center, Larchmont, New York. This is Margaret's first children's book - her life-long dream to write and publish this story has finally come true! About The Illustrator Nurtured by parents who didn’t care whether she hoisted a pool on top of the swing set, made massive tents in the living room, and taped leaves from the hosta bushes to the monkey bars in the back yard, Rayna Sassano had plenty of room to develop her love for stories and adventure. Somewhere along the way, with the encouragement of family, friends, teachers, and her stuffed childhood companion Primrose the mouse, she eventually realized that her dream was to become a children’s illustrator and author. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Hartford with a BFA in Illustration, and she hopes to spread positive messages to children through her work. Drawing round-headed kids and fantasy worlds is just one of the perks of this job.
