"They sat by the stream for a while and enjoyed the spring coolness coming off the water and all the smells of the new day. Without any warning, Vinney jumped in, KERSPLASH! Sammy was so surprised he almost fell in himself. He watched Vinney swimming around, having a good old time and wondered what it would be like to actually ‘be’ in the water up to his neck. The stream seemed to be moving very quickly and Sammy didn’t know if it would be a good idea since he didn’t know how to swim. Very carefully, he put his foot into the nice, cool water. He turned and watched Vinney, and decided it wouldn’t be so terrible to get in the water himself but once he was in, he didn’t know what he was supposed to do next."

About the Book
The Adventures of Sammy and Vinney is a life-based fictional tale with the goal of helping children safely explore and understand the changing world around them, life relationships and creating effective bonds. It draws the child in and speaks to them on their level so they can learn to make better choices and have more life-enriching experiences. It is my goal to take some of the mystery out of growing up and help children grow into well-rounded, critical thinking individuals.
About the Author
Diane Sica is a mother of four great children. Born and raised in Connecticut she now graces Texas with her presence. She is a loving individual who always opens her heart and home to others and she is always ready to give a helping hand to anyone in need. She is a crafty, energetic, and creative person who enjoys new challenges. A down-to-earth person, she develops all-natural remedies for use in place of pharmaceutacles to promote healthier, more natural healing. She is always willing to make someone else happy before herself. Her love of humanity, especially our children, is what drives her to write children’s books. Twenty years of being a stay-at-home mother has supplied her with more than enough experience to give children just what they need and it is her goal to help children see the world in a more positive light and as they make the journey, they will be more open to seeing and embracing all the good things life has to offer, making better, smarter choices for everyone.
