About the Book

Things spring brings Are heard and seen. Here’s life To activate my being. The author realizes that there is a dire need for more poetry books in the classroom. Her voice rings deep as she speaks to all age groups when reading or listening for enjoyment. This unique set of poems are written to engage readers and to stretch their imaginations to create visual imagery. Furthermore, this book can be used to teach grade-appropriate reading skills. It aims to foster the reality of Spring as the season that brings Life.

About the Author

Cedra Lewis Baird is a retired educator with forty-three years of experience at the elementary school level. She served as a classroom teacher, curriculum facilitator, and teacher trainer. She holds a Master’s degree in Education, and a Master’s of Science in Educational Administration and Supervision. She was born in Charlotteville, Tobago, West Indies, and now resides in Brooklyn, New York.
