About the Author
Captain Candis Dunlap has served in the Army National Guard and continues to serve in the U.S. Army Reserves. She concurrently worked as a NYC middle school teacher. While completing graduate school at Pace University, she was mobilized for a tour in Afghanistan to support the Global War on Terror in 2008. During this time, Captain Dunlap gained insight on the impact of war on military families. Now married to an Active Duty Soldier and first-time parent, she wants to share their stories. This book presents a snapshot of their feelings, thoughts and memories.
