About the Book

The first book in the Adventures series, Grandma Terri Drives the School Bus, is a whimsical, energetic and fun-loving introduction to Grandma Terri’s world. This second Adventures book, Grandma Terri’s Hospital Visit, was written in honor of her granddaughter Nia, an incredible seven year old, who was diagnosed with a rare cancer three years ago. The book also celebrates all children and their families who display courage and hope in the face of adversity, as well as Nia’s medical teams who, by their compassion and excellence, kept hope in our hearts as we journeyed together on the road to Nia’s healing.

About the Author

Little did Terri Fisher know that after retiring as CEO of a national relocation firm for 30 years, personal family tragedies would serve to propel her into a second career – author of children’s picture books. Through The Adventures of Grandma Terri series, she is able to share and document the family’s joys, tears, and triumphs in a way that will touch and inspire readers. Terri stated that she was just amazed how God, by speaking these stories into existence to her, brought something positive out of something so very painful. Grandma Terri’s hope is that the Adventures stories will bring a smile and encouragement to families faced with major challenges.
