A noise over by Ted’s window woke him up from a sound sleep. He didn’t move or even flinch. His senses told him that he was not alone in his room. He opened his eyes just enough to look around, but Kron 299 still appear to be sleeping. From what he could see, there were at least six men in the room. One of them was heading for him with his sword raised, ready for a deadly strike at Ted’s head. Ted quietly closed his hand and his sword appeared in it. When the assailant got close enough, he swung at Ted’s head with his full weight behind it. As he swung Ted brought his sword up and met the assailant’s at mid stroke, blocking the sword from going any farther. Ted then swung his leg out burying the heel of his foot into the assailant’s ribs, snapping several of the assailant’s ribs on impact. Then as the he started to fall backward Ted swung out his other leg out using the heel of that foot to strike his staggering assailant in the head. The man crumpled to the ground dropping his sword. Ted then set his feet on the floor and sprang from the bed picking up the fallen sword at the same time. Ted was now standing facing the remaining five men. Only five men, Ted thought to himself, this should be easy. Two of the men stood staring for a moment then charged drawing their swords. As they swung, Ted raised the swords in his hands blocking their swings. Before they could strike again, Ted kicked the one just to the right of him in the chest, sending him flying through the air and hitting the wall adjacent to Dennis’ room. As the other man stood watching his comrade, Ted attacked him. The man’s head leaped from his shoulder’s to land by the wall as his body hit the ground sending a crimson spray across the room. Then suddenly a hooded figure walked through the wall that Ted had kicked one of the assailants against. As he entered the room, the remaining attackers turned to see what it was. One of them suddenly floated into the air as if being picked up by some unseen force and then he was catapulted through the door and out into the corridor.

About the Book
Ted Tuscoma is a senior in high school and the smallest skinniest kid in school so everyone picks on and bullies him. One day Ted was exploring the attic in the house that his parents had just bought and came across a five book series about a six foot nine inch, three hundred and fifty pound barbarian named Kron. When Ted’s reading the book he loses all track of time and space. It would feel like he was Kron walking through a world where he was not the punching bag but the one doing the punching. Ted hated the world he lived in and loved reading about Kron’s world. One night while reading one of the books he fell asleep. He awoke in the morning when his mother hollered to him to get up for school. As he gets up he feels different but he is not sure why. Then he walks into the bathroom to get ready for school and looks into the mirror. What Ted sees there takes him totally by surprise. Standing there was not toothpick Ted, but Kron. As he stands there in disbelief, everything around him starts to vanish. Suddenly he’s standing in the middle of a forest with nothing left of the world he knew. He is now Kron, in Kron’s world. This book is about his journey and experiences in this new world.
About the Author
My name is Allen Cushman and I live in a small town in Southern Vermont. I have been told by many people in my life that I have a very vivid imagination and that I should put that imagination to good use. I was hooked on the Conan fantasy books, so I took a science fiction/ fantasy class in high school to learn more about fantasy wtiting. It got me hooked on fantasy stories and I have been reading them ever since then. As a matter of fact this book came from an assignment in that class where I had to write a four page story on a metamorphosis. I passed that class easily and when I graduated I packed the metamorphosis story away and became a working man. A few years ago I was living with my sister in Tennessee and I was going through some things of mine and came across my story and after looking it over I set it on the table. My sister saw it and told me that I should lengthen it and make a book out of it. So I started writing and this book is the result of it. This is my first book and it is the first in a series of five books based on this character.
