About the Book

Throughout life there is expression of music, art, dance, songs. Each of these touches us in many different ways. If a picture is worth a thousand words then what are words worth? The expression of words are powerful as it is the readers interpretation of meaning which can be anything we want it to mean. In these pages you'll find that some of these poems may be about you, someone you know. Each poem will paint a picture in your mids eyes and will insert you into the scene.

About the Author

Born on May 20, 1970 on a small island in the caribbean I was raised by my loving grandmother since the age of 5 months while my mother had immigrated to the US and then Canada to prepare for a better life for me and my siblings. I moved to Canada at the age of 7 experiencing for the first time snow, cold that people locked their doors and that there wasn't a beautiful sandy beach just down the road. I lived in some of the toughest neighbourhoods in the city and went to schools where conflict was an every day occurrence. As a young boy I dreamed of one day becoming a police officer. I realized my dream at the age of 20 and have had the fortunate opportunity to help those in need. I am married with a beautiful family and have sinced moved out of the city. I enjoy cooking, riding motorcycles, movies and have a love for fast cars. I belive I am qualified to write poems as I have experienced a great deal of pain, joy, loss and happiness in my time here on earth and have seen others experience the same things. I write in hopes that those reading the pages can relate to the stories told and reflect upon situations thay may be aware of or experienced themselves.
