About the Author

Adam Pattisall (born July 11, 1969) is an entrepreneur in the telecommunications field. Formerly a service and sales executive for CIENA, Fujitsu and Lucent Technologies in the early 2000s, Pattisall holds one patent for a fiber optics duct cap currently owned by Alcatel-Lucent. Pattisall was never interested in being a writer but when his photos became a hit with family and friends he decided to see if pictures were really worth a thousand words. Born in Suffolk, Virginia, Pattisall grew up the son of a southern Baptist preacher and moved around Virginia until settling in Matthew County for middle and high school. After high school he served four years in the United States Army in the field of satcom. In 1992 he married Lisa Lynn Powell (Pattisall). They live in Maryland with their three children; Sarah Margaret born in 1996, Joshua Chandler born in 1999 and Tristen Dean born in 2001.
