About the Author

Kristen Calenda is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island, where she earned her B.S. in textiles with a concentration in fashion merchandising, and pursued secondary studies in plant and soil sciences. As a successful businesswoman, she owned and operated a women’s apparel shop, a consignment resale store, and a residential rental property, as well as a decorative artist/painting business. A native Rhode Islander, Kristen lives in Warwick with her husband and three cats. Using 50% of the profits from the sales of this book, her goal is to fund various animal rescue groups, both great and small.
