About the Book

As parents, our legacy will be what our kids have learned from us. We can never lose sight of this great responsibility. I Hope You Know is a poem book, beautifully illustrated and easy for kids of all ages to enjoy! The truth behind the book is, I woke up one morning with this poem in my head... I stumbled downstairs and jotted it all down (half asleep). A few hours later when I revisited my scribble... I discovered that my heart, soul, and "hopes" for my children came to me poetically in the fashion of a dream. It has now been crafted into a book. The messages in the book are simple and clear, and these are the most basic things our children should know as they leave the home each day!

About the Author

Being a father is something I knew I was meant to be... but an author... I didn't see this coming! Like most parents in the world, I too love my kids and I want them to have a wonderful life. I do not take my parenting responsibility for granted. I'm constantly talking to my kids and sharing as much (or as little) knowledge I have to offer... and yes... they tell me to stop talking sometimes... but I know my messages are getting through. I see the evidence, as they leave their mark(s) in the world on a daily basis.

I was raised by a great lady, my mother. My father also made a great impression on me as well, during the time he was with us, but he passed away when I was 20 years old. I'm still blessed to have my amazingly strong and supportive mom. I believe that the man I am today is a result of the parenting I received, and also due to the mentors I have found along the way. I was fortunate to experience summer camp for many years (Camp Avoda, Middleboro, MA), and I learned a great deal about being a man, being accountable, being loyal, being supportive, and being passionate... from some wonderful mentors. In some way, I have always considered those people to be father figures in my life. I truly believe that my "road of life" has led me to this very moment... sharing this book with you!

I live in the Chicago area with my two daughters and wife. My kids do an outstanding job at keeping my wife and I super busy, moderately sleep deprived, always smiling, and occasionally stressed out. My wife encouraged me to turn this poem into a book... so I need to thank her for this experience, and for her endless love and support of me!
