Flowered Fields I heard you two ran for the hills. You had platinum bands and all the frills. She looked back, but it's not your fault. She loved the world and became salt. I loved you more and got left alone. And for a while, I became stone. It's unpredictable how life begins. The rain falls and light creeps back in. All the troubles that seemed so near - Seem like they fell upon another life in a distant year. The barren fields are now overgrown. They are filled with life I've never known. And whatever the days do yield - I will walk through these flowered fields. Pain does lie in the path unknown. But, I won't be salt and I won't be stone.

About the Author
G. Moor is a poet who has been writing since her childhood. She views the art of writing as more than entertaining or academic - but as a process of restoration. She is the author of the children's book "The Listening Ear" and refers to her poetry collection, "And the Queen of the South Shall Rise" as the natural verses and rhythm of her life. "Simply put, to read it is to read me." she reveals. She and her husband are owners of a bookstore and reside in the seaport city of Norfolk, Virginia.
