Animals and humans lived on Mother Earth and her large coat. She did not mind, as mothers are tolerant. She thought of humans and animals as her own children; after all, they called her Mother Earth. Over time, more and more people started living on Mother Earth. People needed somewhere to live and started cutting millions of trees to make homes and furniture. This made big holes in the Mother Earth’s green coat. Mother Earth shivered. Sometimes she cried. Some people heard her, but most of them were too busy fighting and making money to get together and really think of ways to help her.

This story of Mother Earth is for children of the world, whoever they are and wherever they live. No matter whether they are rich or poor, children need to learn at a very young age that the most important thing in everybody’s life is caring for the world. As for me, I wish for this story to be translated in all languages and accessible to all. —Kamon
