About the Author

John R. Brown grew up in West Virginia surrounded by mountains and trees. He received a Ph.D. from Ohio State University and eventually settled in Colorado, where he raised two daughters. He currently lives in Sacramento, California. He has published in the academic world but " If Trees Could Talk " is his first picture book and publication in the non-academic world.
