About the Book

It is summertime on the Oklahoma farm. Bruce watches his heroes as they prepare for the day's work. Ben and Gerry are harnessed to the wagon as Cowboy Chuck loads the bales of hay. Bruce wishes with all his heart that he could pull the wagon. Waverly, Bell, and Fiona laugh at Bruce's antics. They remind him that he is not yet ready. Bruce knows one day he will be a powerful draft horse like Ben and Gerry.

About the Author

Sharolyn Wallace, PhD, LCSW, Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor is the Associate Professor of Human Services at Tulsa Community College. She has over 25 years of experience counseling children and families during crisis and trauma. Dr. Wallace uses stories and books as a means to healing. She has always had horses in her life. Dr. Wallace shares her great love of horses with her husband, Charlie Bowman at their ranch in Oklahoma.
