The Moribund Prognosticator Whispers throughout the wind Extending into the mind of a dead soul – Outside of what does descend To the depths of the only ever imagined; And these the clutches of so firm a hold That relinquishes the age of this dying man: The prediction has been realized To its ultimate conclusion… Moribund within lives this fragile mind's allusion, To the grave and ever beyond, It is a becoming that seldom does refute the truth – Or ever abscond with death's subtle character; Into the beyond of the grief that has shattered the wisdom, Along with the realization that there is nothing left But a frail and seldom-actualized determination; The same as the one that was responsible for the insight That led to the conclusion that soon, It would be no longer with us by the light of the moon, But an organism of the state that left his pleasure For anger and for hatred; Standing at the helm of a quantity That made him breathe the dust of his memory's descending – The moribund soul that is without a beginning, And always without an ending The tampered within attributes that scaled these walls, Only to leave, in search of blanketed and hidden treasures – Under the sheets and within these halls, – Still dwelling and refuted; The calm undertakers of dominion and reclamation of the truth That this being is only scattered by the wind Once it tampers with or forgets its youth; Speak now and forever be declined! – The window holds a reflection from your will And from your mind That will never be recognized; – The shattered life that you have had Is only a necessity for the inheritors of the wise, – The prognosis itself is a failure, And you are the progeny of its assertions; Vote now for the gifts that eluded you, Donate yourself to the children, And, by the heavens, reclaim the world that is within you; Do never dwell on the past For its future leaves little to be desired – As, within the employs, From which you have been fired; But your life is not a mistake, It is the resultant of a firm And shallow faith…

The Rage of the Aphelion is a collection of poetic works that typify the world as it is within these trying and ever-changing times of economic disparity, and the very glorification of our presence on Earth as we move into the most advanced stage of economic awareness and technological consciousness since the Age of Enlightenment. About the Author
Jeffrey B. Holl is a secret quantity in the literary world as yet, but has published two collections of poetry—Poesicosophy and The Beings of Consolation—before this one that have been artistic successes. Jeffrey does await the day when the world changes and poetry comes to the fore once again; but until that day comes, he will continue to work diligently to further causes in the world that precipitate earnest literary and artistic pursuits that harness the connectivity that we all share when we engage ourselves with a world that is broken—but can be repaired in actuality, and also within consciousness—as a method of garnering future development of the human race and all creatures great and small that populate our planet—so as to preserve the ecosystem but also to perpetuate a healthy and prosperous environment for all living things.
