This refreshing story features a 4-year-old boy discovering his world and making connections to his own life, as 4-year-olds are so good at doing. What starts out as a dilemma for him resolves itself--with the help of some feathered visitors.

About the Author

A graduate of West Virginia University, the author taught high school social studies and English for 25 years but has never lost her passion for the well-being of children of all ages. She grew up in Kingwood, West Virginia, and enjoyed reading from an early age. Her wish lists for birthdays and Christmas always included stacks of books, particularly biographies, historical fiction, and those about nature. Walking to the town library every week was an adventure, as it was located then on the second floor of the courthouse and accessed by fire escape past the county jail’s barred windows on the first floor. A resident of Ames, Iowa, for the past 41 years with her husband Jim, their family includes a daughter, a son and his wife, and five grandsons.
